Reinterpreting Your Past

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): “I know not what my past still has in store
for me,” testified the Indian spiritual poet Tukaram. I believe most of us
can say the same thing, and here’s why: The events that happened to us
once upon a time keep transforming as we ripen. They come to have
different meanings in light of the ever-new experiences we have. What
seemed like a setback when it first occurred may eventually reveal itself
to have been the seed of a blessing. A wish fulfilled at a certain point in
our history might come back to haunt us later on. I bring up these ideas,
Aquarius, because I think you’re primed to reinterpret your own past.

Turning 50 has resulted in quite a few breakthroughs for me.

I don’t feel a victim to painful events in my past.  I am more likely to embrace my feelings if I am triggered and open to the possibility that there was a good reason that that painful event happened; essentially milking the experience for the gold inside.

I don’t have regrets.  Feeling the reality of my mortality just underlines how essential it is to enjoy every single day of my life, no matter what happens that day.  Feeling bad about myself because of choices I made in the past is just a waste of time.  Forgiving myself and choosing to make different choices today feels much more empowering and keeps my energy high.

I don’t care what other people think of me.  That seems to have been filed permanently in the box of “not my business.”  Very freeing!

I don’t compare myself…to others..to who I aspire to be…to the person I was last year!

I am more patient.  I am not racing to get anywhere because I am happy where I am.

EFT and Matrix Reimprinting, in particular, have allowed these breakthroughs to happen organically.  My amazing husband has also been a huge influence on my growth.

It feels good to be ME at this stage of my life.  I have never been happier or more excited about the future!
